About Fares Al Soud
As the Member of Parliament for Mississauga Centre, it is my privilege to represent our community in the House of Commons. Born in Montreal to an immigrant family, I was shaped by the values of hard work, service, and community. Those values continue to guide me every day. Before being elected to Parliament, I worked across federal government and with the Canadian Red Cross, helping address complex challenges facing communities in Canada and around the world. Those experiences reinforced my belief that public service is about listening, showing up for people, and working toward practical solutions that improve lives.
In 2025, I was elected to represent Mississauga Centre in the House of Commons. As one of the youngest Members of Parliament in Canada, and the youngest Arab and Muslim serving in Parliament in Canada's history, I bring the perspectives of a new generation to national discussions while remaining focused on the issues that matter most to our communities: making life more affordable, addressing the housing crisis, strengthening healthcare, improving public safety, and creating opportunities for the next generation.
Public office is a privilege, and I know well that the seat I hold in the House of Commons belongs to the people of Mississauga Centre. Every day, I work to ensure your voices are heard in Ottawa and your priorities are reflected in the decisions that shape our country.
Mississauga is my home, and serving its people is the honour of my life.

As the Member of Parliament for Mississauga Centre, my responsibility is to represent our community in the House of Commons and ensure local voices are heard in Ottawa. This includes debating and voting on legislation, advocating for the priorities of our community, and serving on parliamentary committees, where I help examine legislation and bring the perspectives of our riding to important national discussions. My team and I also work closely with constituents to help them access and navigate federal programs and services.
As a member of the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage, I help examine issues related to Canadian culture, heritage, official languages, human rights, and the institutions that help shape our national identity.
As a member of the Standing Joint Committee for the Scrutiny of Regulations, I help review federal regulations to ensure they are lawful, clear, and constituent with Parliament's intent.
As a member of the Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics, I help study issues related to government transparency, privacy rights, ethical standards, and accountability in public institutions.
